Well it may actually have been Mini Mega but the ramp is still huge and Mike went huge while riding it. The World Extreme Games in China hosted a Mini Mega contest which Hucker entered for the first time ever and placed fifth! Way to go hucker! Gallery found at S & M Bikes.
Chris Doyle and Hucker have some sweet pictures up on the RIDEbmx site from this last weekends, Red Bull Dirt Conquers contest in Mexico. The course would make any rider pee themselves with excitement to ride something as rad as that dirt course! Check out the full gallery HERE.
This Sunday is Gonracin BMX’s 5th year anniversary jam. Tim (pictured on the flier) & Josh Clemens are a Father/Son duo that have BMX in their blood since it’s beginning roots and do everything they can through the shop to build up their community. We did a Ground Recon on them a few months ago that you might remember. This weekend is one of those events, so if you’re in the area stop by for riding, food, video premieres, and free Demolition prizes. Click the flyer for all the details…
The time has rolled around for Clayton Bikes in Concord, CA to hold their annual TGC AM Jam. If you’ve been to or seen footage of the previous years, then you already know this is gonna be a good time. They always come up with the best ramps, dirt jumps, pallet obstacles, etc. and everyone just sends themselves. If you’re anywhere in the area, you should make it out. And there will be plenty of opportunity to catch some free Demolition stuff. Click “more” to view the full flyer for all the details….
After going through our finalists for our Pics for Hubs Contest, we finally got it locked down to 3. Our top 3 was @TeddyOSteen with an awesome looking sunset invert, @DanBMX with a cloudy turndown and our winner, @JeffwithGlasses. Jeff was one of the few out of 2,200 entries that had a really solid street picture that was something we could see using ourselves for our blog and etc. We looked at the trick and photo quality to determine if they made the cut and if we would use them somewhere. Thanks again to everyone that entered! Stay tuned, we have another contest lined up very soon.
It’s always tough judging any sort of contest, especially when you have over a 2,200 entries! I never would have thought we’d have so many amazing entries, this makes my job a lil’ tough. Last night, we picked our top 30 and got it down to our top 15 for this blog post. These top 15 all were amazing photos themselves as well as the riding. We were looking for a very crisp photo that is well lit, good composition and a really good or unique trick. We always say, “What makes a good photo isn’t always with the riding itself, it’s also with the photography and the man behind the lens.”
We’ll get it down to our number one by the weekend. Again, we can’t thank everyone enough for entering their pics and tagging #picsforhubs on their Instagram. We had a ton of amazing pics of tricks (amazing tricks!) but some of the quality of the photos themselves hurt them to move forward. Why do I sound like a judge on American Idol?! Please don’t get bummed if you didn’t see your entry, we’ll have another contest very soon! Click the pic above to go to see our top 15.
For all those that need new hubs, we got the contest for you. We’re giving away our all new Ghost front hub and Rolls V2 cassette! All you have to do to enter is follow @demolitionparts and post your best riding picture on your Instagram and hashtag #picsforhubs. We’ll be announcing the winner Wed. May 15th. Keep in mind picture quality is just as important as the trick. Good luck guys!
Aaron and Kink are giving away his bike (above) with all new Demolition goodies (check his seat) and Aaron’s blood, sweat and tears still on it. That might be a lil’ much but still, it’s a chance for you to win a complete bike. Check out Aaron’s complete whip at RIDE and there you can read the instructions on what you’ll need to do to enter.
Dennis was in Brazil this last weekend competing in the first X Games 2013 event. Lot of ups and downs for Dennis this weekend as he took third in park, which is awesome, but then he crashed and fractured his wrist, which blows! I’m sure Dennis is already working hard to heal up as quickly as possible and will be shredding again soon enough. For now though, check out this awesome run during the park competition that helped Dennis land him 3rd at XGames Brazil. Get well soon Dennis!
Well he didn’t exactly win because there was no first second or third place. But there was a Best Rider, Best Line, and Best Trick. And seeing how Hucker was voted Best Rider, I’d say it’s a win! Especially when your voted Best Rider amongst some of the best trail dogs in the world! Here is what Huck had to say about it.
“I came here injured and just planned on just staying safe and having a good time. To think that everyone liked my riding that much that they voted for me, it’s a dream come true.” Mike Hucker Clark
Now watch highlights edit from the comp right HERE and see the insane cliffhanger flip that Huck does mid line to wrap up the edit!
Good job Hucker! Your the man.
