Hucker, Fox, and our homie Bohan have been on a Red Bull‘s #TipToTail trip for the past couple weeks, driving all the way across New Zealand in a couple RVs. So far, it looks like there has been no shortage of good times! Red Bull just put up a huge update from the first half of the trip in the North. Check it out HERE and stay tuned for more updates from the South. Sounds like there will be a web series to follow as well, can’t wait to see that! Photo by Graeme Murray.
Day 7 of Demolition in Florida and it is our last day here in the sunshine state. Since we got rained out yesterday and haven’t had a ton of luck finding spots on this trip in general the crew was more than anxious to get out on the bikes for the last day of the trip. We started the day at a famous spot in Tampa with these awesome volcanos, it was hard knowing what has or hasn’t been filmed on the volcanos already but a few things were figured out and it was just a ton of fun riding them just to ride em. Hucker and Tyler did manage to find a random little grass flyout and proceeded to do tricks out of it that we never intended for such a halfass setup. After the volcano park we packed up the van and headed back to Orlando to squeeze in a session at the famous Maitland quarters. We didn’t have along at the spot before we needed to take Hucker to the airport so the crew wasted no time getting on the bikes and having a blast on this street setup that is pretty much too perfect to be true. After riding the quarters as much as we could we had to scramble and race to the airport to get Hucker to his flight, lucky for him we hit a string of green lights and open lanes and were able to get him checked with about sixty seconds to spare. Have fun in New Zealand Hucker and thank your Florida for the good times! Until the next adventure…
Day 6 here in the sunny state and its raining again. The crew woke up stoked because we had ended the previous day finding a few awesome setups that they guys had ideas for and wanted to film at. The weather had been great the past few days so none of us suspected a thing, but when we all woke up to dark skies the mood shifted and we instantly started checking weather reports around the state to see what our option were. The reports said we had till 2pm before the storm would hit in Tampa, so we got out, hit some breakfast real quick and got to the spot round 10. We barely got out of the van and the crew just got warmed up when the rain drop started falling. By 11am it was pouring, a whole 3 hours ahead of schedule, so we started checking out hours for the indoor parks. After realizing there were no BMX hours that day for any local skateparks we took a note from “The Big Lebowksi” and said screw it dude, lets go bowling. Even though we got rained out we kept positive and had a blast bowling, and made frequent trips to WaWas and Dunkin’ Donuts. Be sure to click on the post and check out our day in the rain for day 6 of Demolition in Florida.
Howdy Howdy from us out here in Florida, its been a couple days since our last update so let me get you guys up to date on what we’ve been up to. Day 4 had us traveling south to Sarasota for the 3rd stop in the FLBMX contest series at the Payne Skatepark. The main bowl at the Payne park is filled with scary extensions, over vert bowl corners and more lines than can be counted and the locals we’re all killing it. After the contest, we checked in our hotel which happened to have a balcony so Tyler immediately dangled himself on said balcony(photo in gallery). We the cruised out to a beach on the Caribbean that had all the locals tripping out on watching the sun set over the ocean. Day 5 was our first full riding day and lucky for us we saw Matt Coplon the day before at the contest and he had told us about a few spots to check out when we had a chance. So we spent most the day cruising the streets of St Petersburg checking out the spots Matt told us about, we also stubbled on a building that was in the middle of being Demolished, so feeling a bit inspired by our namesake we tossed some cinder blocks around while Tyler did tricks on big street gap nearby. We had to hang onto the photo of Tyler’s gap but for now check out our photo gallery from days 4 and 5 from Demolition in Florida.
Day 3 of our trip out here in Florida and the skies are clear! After starting the day with the obligatory Cracker Barrel breakfast, the crew was stoked to get the chance to head over to Chad Degroot’s bike shop, Mr. Bikes N Boards, in Longwood Florida. Chad’s shop is sick! And in no time the guys were sessioning with the locals, shooting some pool, and eating pizza. Rob was extra stoked on the pizza part, you may not know by looking at him but the one thing Rob loves more than bikes, guns or girls, is FOOD and he loves the hell out of pizza so he was stoked. After hanging out at the shop for a bit we cruised over to the local prefab park and rode some more with the locals. The riders out in Longwood are sick and even though there park is a bit small they really make the most of it and shred the place to pieces. After the session we headed over to a local alligator bar and Hucker and Tyler bobbed hotdog pieces on gator noses until some got eaten, it was a little less exciting than all of us had hoped… All in all though it was a good day and were looking forward to more. Stay tuned for more updates from our Demolition trip to Florida!
Greetings from the sunshine state, and well, it’s raining! Or at least it was yesterday when the crew made it out to Kona skatepark and we were are within arms reach of getting to ride a place we’ve all dreamed of since we were kids. That place looks insane and we are all hoping we can make our way back up to Jacksonville for another shot at a Kona session. Since the rain killed the session yesterday we kept busy with mini ping pong tournaments and late night waffle house missions which kept everyone more than entertained while it was soggy outside. Day two though was shinning and good thing too because we landed an awesome hotel on Ormond Beach and Huck and Tyler immediately found a place to buy kites and they did the kid thing while the rest of us watched and tried not to get hit by cars on the beach. We then rolled over to The Bike Shop in Ormond Beach and chilled with all the shops guys and locals, the crew out there is rad and they ended the day by taking us out to the local park for a good ol fashion bike ride. Hucker was having some bike issues so he and Rob made lemons into lemonade and made the first ever bike centipede, Hucker has been talking a lot about the Human Centipede so he may have gotten inspiration from the movie but you’d have to ask him about that. We then watched Tyler shut down the skatepark with a couple of amazing clips, and you know with Mastroni behind the lens the clips are SO SICK! Cant wait for you guys to see, but for now, click on the post and check out all the rad photos from the crew’s first two days in Florida!
The Demolition Crew is coming to Florida to hang out and ride at a skatepark or bike shop near you. Check out the flyer and if your anywhere near Jacksonville, Orlando, Sarasota or Tampa be sure to come out and hang out! See you there.
Dennis and I were lucky enough to go on a trip to Portugal to film an edit for Nokia phones. The whole edit was filmed with the new Nokia lumia which is pretty crazy. Thanks to Hadrian for having us come out to ride and have an adventure in Portugal. From the views to the spots, Portugal was amazing! We got to ride some skateparks as well as street when we were out there and like you can see in the edit, it was all awesome. Of course Dennis was doing the most insane stuff on a daily basis. Even though I know how good he is he still seems to surprise me with something new all the time. We were out there for 10 days and on the last day Dennis and I both got sick. He got it the worst, we are thinking it was food poisoning from the last place we ate at. The whole trip we had an awesome friend showing us around and taking us to the best places to eat, and of course on the last day he wasn’t there and we got sick as shit. Thanks Hadrian, nuno, and Hugo for showing us around and hanging out and making this trip one that won’t be forgotten! – Ronnie
Click on the post to check out all the behind the scenes photos from their trip and then check out the edit from the trip at the bottom of the post. Heyyooo!
I just got home from Redbull Dreamline in North Carolina and Texas Toast and it was probably the best two weeks of my life. From riding some of the best dirt jumps, hanging with all the homies, to just being on the road and having no worries at all. I got to travel from Dreamline to Texas with Dustin Orem and Drew Bezanson, stopping in Tyler Texas along the way to hang with Morgan Wade and shoot some guns. The amount of ammo, clay pigeons, and tannerite (Google if you don’t know what this is) we burned through was unreal. After going a bit Rambo, we then drove to Austin to meet up with the Haro guys and get stoked for Toast. They rented a house and we just got to hang out, cook dinners, and had a good time, it really made it feel like a team and a family. Both contests were amazing and I couldn’t be more stoked on how I rode, I made finals at both and had the most fun of my life out there. Cheers to everyone who made this trip possible and fun. Here is a little photo journal that I put together from my trip. Until the next one..
Oh man what a blast, cool little house, rad crew, great food, and more spots than we knew what to do with. Just a few special ingredients in what made for one of the best trips ever to San Antonio last year. The Markit crew was in the middle of filming for what would be the Nora Cup Video of the Year, Markit Zero. The Demolition crew was in the middle of one of their busiest traveling years to date and so the timing was just right for a super fun, relaxed, yet ridiculously productive trip right in America’s heart land. So please take a minute to sit back, relax, and click through some of our photos from one of the best trips ever and get motivated to get a bunch of your friends together and get tripping to somewhere you’ve never been but always wanted to go! Yewww!
Slow day for No. 7 with lots of rain and driving and faffing around – we scored a mellow session at the 4Down park in Hastings – thanks a ton for Ian and Dan for hooking that up. Jordan dipped out and went for a spray tan while Rob Wise and Broc added yet more tech to their already swollen tech-clip-collection for the week. Day 8 was way more productive…
Brighton today for a shop stop and skatepark cook out. After a crammed poster signing session at Brighton BMX Bob and Russ killed the BBQ & tea making while Kris Fox killed the bowl. The good folk at Seventies Distribution were kind enough to let us crash at the palatial Brighton Ain’t Ready pad in exchange for a slab of beer. Our timing was spot on as the Cult dudes had just left and the Kink guys are flying in the next day so most everyone got a bunk to sleep on. On to some more concrete relics today for a session at Romford. . . Click top photo to read/ see more
We took in some classic English spots today; firstly was the infamous Southsea Skatepark, built in the 70′s this place is one of a kind. It’s had some recent new-school wooden additions and from the 16 ft deep concrete bowls to the comp jocky jumpbox to the roller coaster snake run, there really is something for everyone there. The park is best know for producing Mark Webb & Dennis Wingham, hosting some of the best contests in the history of BMX (King Of Concrete) and being run by flatland pioneer and UK Flat Matters ambassador, Effraim Catlow. Click more to read/ see more
Two very different sessions today – the first one went down at The Burrows, a private ramp hidden deep in the woods of Dorset, the scene here is both tight and loose and, for us at least, sums up all that is great about bike riding – sharing time getting rad with your friends – no scooters, no security, no hassle, just roasting airs and shooting the shit with a cup of freshly brewed tea. Click more to see/ view more!
More rain and more tea and more biscuits. After a groggy drive down to Cornwall we were met with a good turnout for our shop stop at Dead Sailor in Truro. Hit more to see/ read more.
Another update from the road on Day 3 of the Tea & Biscuits tour. Words and photos by Steve Bancroft…
Here is an update from Elephant’s Steve Bancroft on Day 2 of the Tea & Biscuits Re-Fill Tour…
“Day 2 – Rad BMX shop stop – Stodgy Dave, Pete and Fat Paul extended some Great British hospitality and token weirdness during a rain sodden day hanging out at their shop. It rained down solid all day so no riding went down there – just a few gallons of tea and a few acres of pizza and many yards of biscuits were consumed. After Rad we scored a sweet session at Rush Skatepark in Stroud – the guys there were most accommodating and asked us to hashtag rushskatepark in all photos – they let us all ride all night in exchange for a free tshirt and some second hand Momentum tyres. . . Bristol tomorrow for some cloudy cider and hopefully some less British weather. . .” Click the photo above to see the full gallery from Day 2.
Our 2nd UK Summer tour with Elephant Distribution, Tea & Biscuits 2: The Re-Fill, has officially kicked off. Unfortunately, we lost Connor Lodes on the tour due to some crazy customs situation but Rob Wise, Kris Fox, and Drew Hosselton will be holding it down over there for Demolition, along with our UK riders Jordan Aleppo and Michael Jordan. Stay tuned for more updates from the road as the they make their way through the UK. Click the photo above to see the full gallery from Day 1.
The dates for our 2014 Summer Tour, Tea & Biscuits 2: The Re-Fill, have been announced! The good folks at Elephant Distribution will be taking Kris Fox, Rob Wise, Connor Lodes, Drew Hosselton, and some of the Volume team on a tour around the UK. The fun begins at the end of the month, so click the photo above to see all of the dates and don’t miss out on your local stop!
The start of our BIG VLM X Demolition Japan trip, Dennis came up with a rad idea to him shoot some b-roll photos/ behind the scenes. Since he’s been messing with his film camera for some time now and was honestly curious of what Dennis sees with his eyes, we just couldn’t resist. After the jump is a slew of photos shot by Dennis while on the road in Japan. Click top photo or view more to see the whole gallery.
p.s. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the whole Japan edit here.
Two months ago we teamed up with Volume Bikes and Motocross International and made the trek to the heart of Japan for all things sushi, ramen and BMX. Dennis, Tyler, Connor and Kris were all there holding it down for Demolition and they killed it at every stop of the trip. Broc Raiford and Alex Raban were also there repping their frame sponsor Volume Bikes. Since all the Volume guys have completely different sponsors from the Demo guys they don’t usually get to travel together so this was a rad opportunity to ride and party with some new faces. Needless to say the trip was amazing and we all had a total blast while we were out there and can’t wait for the opportunity to go back again. So without any further mumbling from yours truly, hit play on this edit and watch the madness that was Volume X Demolition in Japan. Thanks again to Motocross International for organizing and taking such good care of all of us. Filmed and Edited by Mike Mastroni.
Well that’s that! The last two days of the Volume Bikes and Demolition Parts Japan Tour is in the books and the trip was a huge success! We got to cruse around at awesome skateparks, trails and street spots throughout Japan and got to me countless people along the way that we will never forget. To say we are beyond stoked and would love to come back one day is a huge understatement!
We started off Friday by heading out to Bike Shop Rag to hang out with the locals and check out the new shop, that place is clean and is worth the visit next time you swing by Osaka. From there we took a walk around a local temple, fed some fish and looked at turtles. After all that love, nature, and hippie-ness we headed to a local indoor/outdoor skatepark where we ended the day with an awesome session and a parts raffle.
Saturday was the day the crew headed back to the states so we didn’t have munch expectations for the day, but to our surprise there was a local trail jam going down that happened to be on super photogenic harbor. The trails weren’t huge but there were tons of lines and the guys had the best time getting a session in before their flight home. The trip couldn’t have ended any better. Be sure to click on the post and check out all the photos from our last two days in Japan!!!!!
Checking in once again from #VLMDemoJapanTour, this time from the city of Osaka! First impressions of Osaka in one word, WILD. Right when we got into town we went for a pedal through an indoor market place that was like pedaling into a old world, heaps of cool things we’ve never seen at business in this place. Then after a quick left turn we ended up in the red light district of Osaka which had ladies of the evening being displayed like mannequins for all to see and shop through, if that is your thing. We were all pretty sketched out by that scene so we kept pedaling and found some awesome street setups along they way. The following day we visited a new shop that had the best mini ramp ever right in the middle of the shop! The guys had no problems shredding that place to pieces. There was even a local shredder on an 18 inch that was cranking lookbacks tail whips and barspins at height. After the session ended we pedaled over to CLAN bike shop where we got to meet even more cool locals, then we all went to dinner at the shop owners friend’s restaurant where we partied the night away before crashing out before dawn. Be sure to check back tomorrow for our final update from #VLMDemoJapanTour
Heyyooooo!! So it has been a couple of days since out last update here in Japan. Last you heard from us we had spent our last day in Tokyo riding restricted skateparks and some of the most unbelievable street we have ever seen. Day 5 had us on the road to Nagoya, but about half way through the trek we stopped off in the middle of the woods at the YBP trails for a quick trail session. Unfortunately not everything was quite dialed in yet so we spent most the time watching Kris Fox rip up the giant BMX track that the locals had built along side the trails. Watching Kris do what he does best is a treat for anyone lucky enough to witness him race through rhythms and hit big doubles. After the YBP visit we made it do Nagoya and FiveStar bike shop, one of the raddest rider owned shops in Japan. From there we pushed north up to Toyama, visited TooLate Bike shop, rode Toyama skate plaza and ended the day riding around downtown Toyama until the rains came and sent us all inside for the night. Tons of good riding, good people, and great times. Check back tomorrow for more from our #VLMDemoJapanTour
Our last day in Tokyo! We have been loving Tokyo so much since we got here it’s going to be tough saying goodbye, but at the same time we are all looking forward to seeing the rest of Japan and what it has in store for us. We started the day off goofing around in one of Japan’s largest retail stores, Don Quijote, where we found everything you could possibly need to live your entire life, birth to death, and then some! After an hour or two over at Don’s, we cruised over to a huge public skatepark that we weren’t allowed to film at… Because we were so bogged down by rules and regulations at the park we rebelled and went street riding with some locals. “Spine with rail” was the description given to us about the first spot and too our amazement thats exactly what it was when we got there. Dennis even said it may have been the craziest setup he has ever ridden, which is really saying something. We then hit up two more spots in the area that we just as crazy as the “spine with rail”. Everyone clipped up with some big banger and we ended the day with some Japanese hot wings and beer, we are in heaven….
Day Three here in Japan and the good times just keep on coming. The day started off at BMX RIO were we got to meet cool locals and at the same time avoid getting run over by the bicycle highway that passed right by the front door. The Japanese take the bicycle commuting seriously and do not slow down just because there are a bunch of Americans in the way, now matter if they are old or young, man or woman, they are coming through hot and are not waiting for you to see them! Whats funny too, is that the whole time they never show any kind of fear or expression when there is a close call, just business as usual hauling ass on the sidewalks of Tokyo. Anyways, after BMX Rio, we headed over to another rad rider owned shop, Flourish BMX. Flourish is owned by Volume and Demolition rider, Akira Sakata, so it was rad to get to meet him and see what his shop and the scene are all about. From that point we headed over to a local skatepark and sessioned with everyone until sundown when we all mode a trek on foot to a local Ramen Restaurant. None of us on the trip had ever eaten authentic Japanese ramen before and it’s safe to say that we are all HOOKED! Be sure to check back soon for our next update from #VLMDemoJapanTour
We have arrived in Japan! Well, we got in about 48 hours ago but it has been a blur of the senses since we arrived. There is just so much to see, touch, smell, and trip out on here in Japan that there is simply never a dull moment and we have no idea what we will get into or find next. Our first day here we got our bikes built, visited an amazing shop, fought jet lag and basically got our bearings in Tokyo. Day two had us riding plenty, first at an outdoor park and then at an indoor park later in the day, both parks were a little slow going but the crew made the best of them and had a blast shredding with the locals and trying to communicate by any means necessary. Be sure to click on the post and check out the gallery from our first 48 in Japan.
Check back in a couple of days to see our next update from #VLMdemoJapanTour
We just got the full itinerary for our Japan trip and wanted to give you guys that are going to attend the full schedule. See you soon…
Original post: That’s right, we’re going to Japan! The good people over at Motocross International gave us the invite and so we got together a group of misfits together to hit the open road. Dennis, Connor, Fox, Tyler, and our fearless leader Joey Cobbs will all be in attendance there. We’ll be filming, riding with locals, playing tourist and hitting up shop stops along the way. We’ll be there from 5/16 – 5/24 if any of you out there in cyberspace are around. We can’t wait for this one, we’ve all been dying to get over to Japan for some time now. Kicking off 2014 BIG we’ve decided to re-post our latest trip edit stacked with a big crew, big trails, big air, and in the middle of BIG country, the great NorthWest. To try and make this trip happen in October may not have been the smartest mover ever, but with the crazy traveling schedules of Chris Doyle, Hucker, Rob Wise, Ronnie Napolitan, Dave Dillewaard and Kris Fox you can find yourself waiting for years for the perfect time to take a trip like this. So we “Threw Caution to the Wind” and embarked on this seemingly doomed trip anyway. After a soggy start the weather got on our side and we were able to session four amazing trails from Seattle all the way down south to Sacramento and the result of it all is this awesome edit put together by the man, Mike Mastroni. Keep an eye out for edit #2 from this awesome trip which should be dropping soon. Also be sure to check out the article from the trip in issue 197 of RideBMX!
Ronnie checking in here, the last two days of the trip have been a blast! The trails and the shops were both amazing. The first set of trails we went to were our homie Aaron Days trails. The jumps were so fun and the dirt was perfect. Everyone was killing it, including the locals. Check out some of the pictures, Im sure TM Cobbs missed a couple but we got a good update for you guys. Just kidding JOE! The second set of jumps we hit were the Burbons trails. Everyone killed it there as well we it was a really cool vibe. Later on that day we hit Cycle Path Bike Shop in Hayward. They had some ramps and stuff for everyone to ride and we even okay with us climbing up on the roof and setting up a little euro gap. That was pretty spare of the moment and crazy. Nothing but good times on this trip and awesome shops. Support your local bike shops and keep shredding! Thanks for everything guys.
Day 5 was our last day in Seattle and the weather allowed for yet another trail session, this time at our good friend AP’s house. The conditions were real wet so it took a bit of good ol teamwork to get the trails running and once they were running the session went nuts. After AP’s we headed south to Oregon, crashing out in Eugene. Day 6 brought us to Klammath Falls where we had a shop stop at GonRacin BMX shop. GonRacin is our boy, Josh Clemmens, shop so needless to say the turnout was awesome and everyone could not have been cooler. We chilled at the shop for a bit before heading over to the KF skatepark which is simply out of hand. The guys were loving the park so we ended the day there before getting back in the rig and pushing on to Redding. Be sure to check back for more updates from our Demo/QBP NW trails trip.
Yesterday was a good day. When we woke up to the fourth day of rain I was getting pretty doubtful if we were actually going to get to ride trails on this trails trip. But the weather broke early on in the day and the trails were in prime condition for shredding. After the first real session of the trip, the crew headed over to Go Huck Yourself to hang out with the locals and check out the shop. When we got there, the shop guys had setup an old metal quarter dead center in the middle of the shop! The session was on and the crew and the locals destroyed this little narrow quarter for a couple hours. One local especially, teamed up with Hucker and the two of them started doing tricks on the rafters behind the quarter. Check out all the photos from the day and be sure to check out Hucker and his buddy session the shop rafters. Hucker may have actually found another human equally as crazy as himself! Scary.
MORE RAIN!!! The day started off wet so we went to Starbucks, again, and killed time at Sears playing pong, riding bikes, and generally irritating the Sears Staff. Surprising we didn’t get the boot from Sears, unsurprisingly though it was still raining so we waiting out the rain till about 4pm. When the weather finally did break we got two good sessions in at some local parks and ending the day on the BMX.
If you are in the South Renton/Seattle area tonight around 5:30pm We will be at Go Huck Yourself at 230 Main Ave from 530-730p.Be sure to come by and say whats up! See you there.
Be sure to check back for more from the Demolition/QBP Northwest Trails Trip.
The Demolition/QBP Northwest Trails trip is underway and it’s been soggy to say the least. The plan was to drive straight from LA to Seattle and then to work our way back south over the next week, hitting trails and parks along the way. As soon as we got through Southern Oregon it starting pissing rain and has only let up once since then. We were able to fit in a park session in between rains which was awesome. Kris Fox had a massive shred boner after being stuck in the van for 20 hours and so he released his boner by cranking massive look backs and doing footjams on big scary quarters. Be sure to check back here daily for weather and riding updates from our Demolition/QBP Northwest Trails Trip.
The Demo team has linked up with QBMX for a second time, this time around for a trails trip throughout the Northwest United States! The crew is stacked and is as follows; Chris Doyle, Mike Hucker Clark, Ronnie Napolitan, Rob Wise, Kris Fox and Dave Dillewaard. We will be stoping at three shops along the way so if you are anywhere near Go Huck Yourself on Oct. 3rd , Gonracin on Oct 5th or Cyclepath on Oct 7th be sure to make it out and say whats up! Stay tuned for daily updates from the Demolition Northwest Trails Trip.
So the Demolition in Colorado trip has come to an end and was total blast! It has actually been a couple days since we’ve got home but since the drive from Denver to LA is just shy of 20 hours I had to take a day off to recover from the mission. Lots of riding and lots of driving the last couple days of the trip, be sure to click on the post to check out the gallery from our last few days on the road while on Demolition in Colorado.
Big thanks goes out to crew and to everyone that helped us along the way to make this trip a successful and memorable one!
Day started off just a well as all the others until we all found out that Jason and Biz’s room was infested with bed bugs and had to change rooms in the middle of the night. Once we all heard that we all began to itch and get bummed so we packed up our gear, rode street all day in Colorado Springs and headed back up north to Denver for the last two days of the trip. Once clear of the insect motel we had an action packed day of spot searching and street riding. Now we’re back up in Denver and eager to keep the momentum going. Check back later for more updates from Demolition in Colorado.
And if you have instagram, follow our trip at #DemolitionMTNmission
Day 6 began by heading south out of Denver and into Colorado Springs for a shop stop at Pedal Action BMX. BMX specific shops are getting more and more popular and it couldn’t be more positive for BMX which is why it means so much to us to get to come out and hang with everyone from the shop and all the locals that go to the shop to keep their rides rolling. After the shop stop we rolled over to the local park with everyone, which by the way is one of the most amazing parks any of us have ever seen! The park was jammed with people so we took a few runs and moved on to shred some local street. Aboy and Tate both got some solid clips and we wrapped up the day spot searching for some more riding tomorrow! Don’t forget to come back to the site and check for some more updates from Demolition in Colorado. Click on the post and check out the rest of the photos from the day.
Yesterday the Demolition in Colorado crew made a shop stop over at PUSHER BMX. PUSHER has been around since I can remember, when I first heard of PUSHER it was a crazy out of hand BMX zine but now it is a BMX specific bike shop in Denver CO. Clay Brown started the zine in the 90′s and heads the shop now. Its awesome that places like PUSHER still hold it down and BMX and we were honored to get the invite to come by and session with all the locals. There were rails, ledges, hotdogs, and burgers, so of course the were only good times at PUSHER yesterday. Click on the post to check out all the photos from our stop over at PUSHER.
Day 4 started us at an awesome skate plaza out in the middle of the Colorado countryside. The guys clipped up a bit, we met up with Demolition homie Greg Sumida and then took off to ride some ditches and whatever other spots we came across. Greg got loose across a water gap and scared everyone half to death but he was fine, just a pair of soggy shoes. We ended day 4 with one of the most important discoveries of the trip, TWIN PEAKS. ” I don’t even know that Hooters is in business anymore….” -Jason Enns.
We got up early on day 5, shredded more ditches, and then headed to downtown Denver for some street setups. After Aboy and Biz both clipped up on the streets we cruised over to PUSHER BMX for an awesome shop stop. After the shop stop we wrapped up the day with another late night session over at Twin Peaks. Check out the photos from the last two days and be sure to check back tomorrow for more updates from Demolition in Colorado.
Day 3 definitely brought more action into the trip, we finally made it to Colorado and because we had been stuck in the van for so long we decided on a park day and hit up three different parks in Northern Colorado. The agenda for the day was to session as much as possible and stay out of the van as much as possible and thats exactly what we did. Jason got the OK from his knee doc to ride just before coming on the trip so its been awesome to seem him so stoked to ride. These guys are always making bets for Hooters dinner and yesterday Tate was the sucker, he bet Jason 10 wings he couldn’t ride across the spine, lost. Bet Jason a pitcher of beer that he couldn’t over-tooth the spine first try, lost. Then Tate bet Biz that he wouldn’t pull his clip the very next try and lost a half pitcher of beer in the process. Needless to say Tate’s per diem is whipped out on Day 3 and the fun has just begun. So we’ve been on the road to Colorado for the last two day and have yet to make it to Colorado. Even though we’ve spent most of the last two days on the road we’ve been keeping ourselves entertained. We’ve sessioned Tate’s pong table, had a few brews with good friends in Salt Lake City, watched a lady smoke meth in her car at a red light and all while we getting a constant gaseous bombardment from Biz’s ass, which has been especially difficult being locked in the rig. Oh ya and when Biz farts and we’re all dying from Biz’s ass smell, he tries to mask the smell by lighting his leg hair on fire… As for day two, it has taken us the down the long and lonely road through Wyoming and into Cheyenne. And in regards to riding there hasn’t been much more than a few tumble weeds, tweakers, cowboys and truck stops to look at. Stay tuned for more and click on the post to check out our gallery from the first two days on the road.
The guys headed up to Colorado to ride, film and shoot some pics are also going to visit Pusher and Pedal Action BMX shops (Friday and Saturday) to bbq, hang out and ride with the locals. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by to get in on the free food, giveaways and pound a few cold ones with the crew. All the info is above in the flyer. If you have any further questions, please contact each shop listed. Click flyer to go BIG. See ya’ soon!
Our last two days at Woodward West have come and gone and we had a blast to say the least! We goofed around all over camp on Thursday with some archery in the morning and bowling in the afternoon while shooting for our new T shirt ID which should be released soon. BIZ thinks he owns both bowling and archery but no matter what he tells ya he’s no Robin Hood or Jeffery Lebowski, he just happened to win $5 in a lucky bowling game… In the midst of all that we had a rad morning trails session followed by an even more insane evening trails session with little sessions all over camp fit in between.
Friday started out awesome with a crazy couple games of foot down with the campers and a product toss afterward. We had a couple of chill sessions, I had a crazy backflip bail, and the crew filmed a few clips before taking off back to reality and the real world. Goodbye Woodward West! We had another great week of summer with you guys and can’t thank you enough for the invite and your hospitality. Till next time…..
Day 2 is in the books and the crew has seriously been killing it. Drew Hosselton made it to camp and jumped right into the session filming cool technical clips all over camp. Dennis murdered the hangar which inspired Kris Fox to do one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen in person. I wish I could tell you more about it but you’ll just have to wait for the edit. Dennis is off to X games and Enns, Dillsy, Castillo and BIZ are all on their way to camp to continue with the fun from Demo at Woodward.
Our first day here at Woodward West for our second annual Demo Week and no time was wasted getting into the swing of things. Dennis, Kris, and Connor were all filming crazy clips and riding with campers throughout the day. Hucker and Tyler both made it to camp just in time for Hucker to over grind the crater’s over-vert quarter on his skateboard and throw down truly amazing cliff hangers on the BMX over at the trails. If the campers weren’t already stoked to be riding with the Demo crew at Woodward they’re beyond stoked when Hucker joins in on the session. Click on the post to check out the craziness from the day, more to come tomorrow…
If you are going to be at Woodward West for week 9, July 28th thru August 3rd, get ready because it’s going to be the best week of your summer! Demolition is coming to Woodward West for another week of sweet summer fun, See ya at camp!
Barcelona could very well be one of the more photogenic cities in the world. For a photographer it’s almost impossible to put the camera in the bag. So it’s expected that there’s a million and a half photos sitting on my hard drive from BCN. So here are a few more photos you guys should check out from the last few days of our time in Barcelona, and a few photos from earlier in the trip just for good measure. Click on the post and see what the Markit crew got into.
Russ Barone got the opportunity to shred Barcelona with the FOX crew in the RIDE TO GLORY contest that just went down. The contest looked to be a huge success and I hear everyone had a blast participating in it. Russ is back in the states now and eating veggies and shredding spots as usual! Check out the above photo of Russ bombing into a bank while in BCN!
Josh Perry recently took a solo trip out to France to shred the FISE contest and rep his frame sponsor, EASTERN BIKES, in the process. Even though he was left to session solo for most of the trip he still managed to put out this awesome edit during his time there. Head over to Soul Mag’s site HERE and check out Josh shredding France!
Here is another quick update from Markit’s trip in BCN that is going on right now. The guys at Markit were cool enough to let me tag along and shoot photos of the Demo guys while they wrap up filming for MarkitZERO. Barcelona has so much going on its easy to miss something so I have been keeping my camerq out as much as I can to attempt to capture the craziness that is Barcelona. So click on the post and check out what makes BCN so sick!
The Markit crew made the trek across the pond this week to Barcelona to wrap up filming for their first full length DVD, Markit Zero. Because they are so rad, they let me tag along and document the insanity. The first two days have been amazing, there are so many things to see on the way to every spot that its a constant mix of sight seeing and BMX. Click on the post to check out the rest of the photos from the first two days of Markit in BCN.
What would you bring with you if you were hitting the road for a month? Want to know what Connor Lodes brings with him when as he takes off to Europe for the month of May? Click on the photo to view it bigger and see what Connor packs when he’s going over seas on an epic BMX adventure.
The one single thing that Connor happened to actually forget was his PASSPORT!! So what do you do when your two hours from home and have 3 hours till your international flight and have forgotten your passport at home? You start making calls to all your best friends and hope to god that someone has the day off work!! HUGE thanks to Connor’s friend GLEN for coming through in a pinch and hooking up Connor with his passport just moments before he had to get on the plane!
Also be sure to follow Connor’s updates from the road on his InstaGram @Connor_Lodes and for the occasional repost @DemolitionParts
Earlier this year Kink put together a trip called #JustCruising, where they hopped on a Caribbean cruise ship and rode spots throughout the ports they stopped at. Demolition’s Aaron Smith and Chris Doyle were lucky enough to earn spots on the trip and partake in the festivities, so hit play and check out their adventure!
Dennis, Rob, Christian and Connor were all been out in Albequrqe last week on Markit’s BreakingABQ trip. They guys have been going hard filming but have been making sure to have just as much fun off the bike as on. One of the days was blown out by the wind so the guys decided to go hiking in the desert while Dennis hit Mike Jonas with sticks. Be sure to check out the Markit site for web gallery updates from the trip.
Here is a little slice of life while NOT on the bikes during Lost In LoneStar. The house we rented had an awesome BBQ so of course we had a BBQ! And when Dennis Enarsron is around you can be sure whatever fire that also happens to be around is going to be BIG! And with support from Senior Ronaldo and Corona there’s no telling what may happen. This is how Dennis and Ronnie get the coals glowin’ on Lost In LoneStar!
Last month the Demolition Team had the honor of traveling down to Costa Rica to cruise around for a week meeting Ticos and Ticas and eating Tamales! Well, not a ton of tamales were eaten but we did meet a lot of Costa Ricans and we did have the chance to shoot our very first DISPOSED feature for our friends over a DefGrip. I’ve always loved clicking through their DISPOSED features so I’m stoked that Demolition Parts has gotten to do one. So waste no more time, click HERE and check out Demolition’s Ticos and Tamales Tour DISPOSED!!!
I know that’s probably the worst blog post title of all time but Rob’s table air redeems this post from its lack of title creativity. We found this ditch setup on the side of the road while driving to another spot and it turned out to be one of the more unique spots of the trip. Rob’s air may make this setup look Amazing, but believe me, Rob is making this thing look a lot easier to ride than it really is. Be sure to click on the post and save Rob’s table as your new wallpaper!
Day 4 of Ticos and Tamales was awesome, we rode street all throughout San Jose and got to really take in the city, the locals and the spots. Then as I’m sure many of you have heard our trip came to a screeching halt when all our camera bags along with Connor’s bag were stolen out of the back of our van while at the local BMX contest. Getting all your most precious belongings stolen from you when you least expect it is never the way you want to end a trip but unfortunately for us this is the way this trip has wrapped up. We will be here in Costa Rica for a few more days but we’re pretty much confined to watching DVDs and gambling at the local casino until we leave. We have had tons of support from the local BMX community and want to thank them for their hospitality while we have been in their country. Pura Vida COSTA RICA! The next time we see each other it will be happier times!
