Drew Hoss just did his second Arizona Highways feature to Nogales and had quite the adventure to say the least. Photos by Greg Moliterno. Hit more to view/ read it all.
“This past weekend the homies and I packed up and headed south to the Mexican border to see what the town of Nogales, AZ had to offer. None of us had ever been before, so needless to say we had no idea what to expect. Much to our surprise for what a small town it was it ended up having a ton of really sick spots! Day one we lucked out into finding a really sick high school and spent much of our day getting clips on the campus.
The best spots the city had to offer were literally right up against the border fence so it made for some pretty sick looking footage. The border patrol officers posted up at the spots were actually stoked we were riding them, and even showed us some clips of their own riding them on their mountain bikes. We ended our day riding an amazing ditch that transitioned into an oververt quarter. Aside from sewage from Mexico flowing through part of the ditch, we ended up walking away with a few clips. Before we knew it the daylight was gone and it was back to Phoenix, but not before desposing of some shrubberies before driving back through the border patrol checkpoints.” – Drew Hoss
